How To Clean An Oven Without Toxic Cleaners.
You know the drill; you spray that caustic stuff all over the inside of your oven and turn it on broil for hours on end, which fills up your home with that terrible smell!. Well luckily there are natural and safe options you can use instead which will leave both you and your oven saying thank you!
First just get the inside walls and bottom of the inside of your oven wet using an old rag and some water. Following that, combine 1/4 cup water, 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/4 cup salt in a bowl, making a paste. Spread this past on every surface inside the oven and let sit for a few hours. After it has sat a while, come back to scrape it off with something that will not scratch the inside of the oven, like a plastic lid cover or spatula, and then follow with a quick wipe-down with a clean rag or towel. Presto, most of the gunk that builds up inside the oven will be gone, and you did not have to fill the house with that terrible chemical smell!

Having one of those steam cleaners does wonders on the oven too — and stove! We bought it because we had the whole house to de-wallpaper, and the cleaning attachments came with it. My husband played with it on the oven and we didn’t even have to use soap. We used it in the UK (much easier to come by after spending 10 minutes surfing for what I’m talking about). I see similar products here for appx $110.
It uses only water — McCulloch MC 1275, which I found more info on Amazon.
Very cool, thank you for the tip. Will definitely check that out!
